Adult Common English, Level 2
This course has been designed for university students and other learners who want to improve their practical English ability in reading, listening, writing, and speaking at the intermediate level.
Students in this course will receive three (3) different kinds of learning materials: news, conversation, and stories. The materials are produced in text and/or audio and/or video.
Students will perform four (4) different types of tasks: listening, memorizing, translating, and giving answers to questions. In response to questions, students will be required to write short and long answers. Students will have to write one or more paragraphs in long response questions.
Once assignments are given, students will have to complete them on the website. The teacher will then go over the student's work and will make corrections or leave comments.
Students can elect to progress through the course at a normal or fast pace. The fast pace will result in the student completing the course in half the time.
The teacher will call (Skype) each student weekly to hold a 15-minute conversation about the relevant tasks performed. A fast pace student will receive two calls a week.
